Required Knowledge and Experience Repair personnel should possess specific expertise in repairing, calibrating and testing the Fluidigm EP1 instrument.
3. Justification
Standard BioTools, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the EP1 platform. Market research has determined that Standard BioTools is the only source capable of providing the necessary factory-authorized field service engineers, proprietary parts, calibration standards, and applications support required to maintain the instrument’s performance and data integrity. Use of non-OEM service providers would risk voiding existing warranties and compromising the regulatory and scientific validity of research data. Therefore, this acquisition is being pursued as a sole source procurement under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901.
4. Submission of Inquiries
This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any party that believes it can provide the required services and maintain the OEM standards for the EP1 platform may submit a capability statement for consideration.
