Description

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application package from Crowley Fuels, LLC for the renewal of an Oil Discharge Prevention and Contingency Plan. The plan is required to ensure adequate resources for prevention and response to a maximum discharge from the Kotzebue Bulk Fuel Facility, which includes storage tanks and fuel distribution infrastructure. The facility has 15 above-ground storage tanks with a total capacity of 6,208,208 gallons. Public comments on the plan renewal are accepted until September 23, 2026.
