The City of Concord Transportation Department is seeking contractors for guardrail installation, replacement, removal, relocation, and reinstallation on city-maintained streets. - Scope of Work: - Includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, and licenses - Covers new and replacement steel beam guardrails (single, double, triple faced), shop-curved rails, posts, anchor units (Types 350, CAT-1, AT-1), impact attenuators, terminal and buffered end sections, structural anchor units (Types III, IV, XI), offset blocks, delineators, and related site work (grading, seeding, mulching, traffic control) - Removal, relocation, reinstallation, and disposal of existing guardrail systems - Emergency mobilization and repairs with a specified fee for rapid response - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; contractors may source materials meeting NCDOT standards - Notable Requirements: - Contractors must provide all necessary insurance (workers compensation, general liability, auto, umbrella) - Certificate of Insurance naming the City as additional insured - Adherence to monthly billing and reporting procedures - Maximum contract fee is $12,700 on a time and materials basis - Option for a one-year extension with up to a 3% price increase - All work must comply with City and NCDOT standards and be completed to the satisfaction of the City Director

The City of Concord is soliciting quotes for the installation, replacement, removal, relocation, and/or reinstallation of guardrails on City maintained streets for fiscal year 2027. The work includes all necessary labor, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, and licenses to complete the services. The contract term begins on the Notice to Proceed date and ends on June 30, 2027. Interested contractors must submit signed quotes by September 9, 2026.
