The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) is seeking public comments and suggestions on new and emerging scientific areas that could impact the health and wellbeing of individuals with disorders related to hearing, balance, taste, smell, voice, speech, and language. The goal is to identify areas not currently reflected in the NIDCD Strategic Plan to inform its update for 2028-2032. Responses will help shape the future strategic plan of the NIDCD. Comments are encouraged to be submitted by October 26, 2026.
