Indoor Environmental / Air Quality Testing Services

THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, REQUEST FOR QUOTE, OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE.

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Memphis VAMC is conducting market research to identify qualified contractors capable of providing indoor environmental and air quality testing services.

The anticipated requirement may include testing, sampling, assessment, analysis, and reporting related to indoor environmental conditions within VA facilities. The purpose of this RFI is to determine the availability and capability of businesses that can perform the required services and to assist the Government in developing its acquisition strategy.

ANTICIPATED SCOPE The contractor may be required to provide qualified personnel, equipment, supplies, and laboratory/testing resources necessary to perform services including, but not limited to:

Indoor air quality assessments and testing Airborne particulate and contaminant sampling Mold/fungal assessment and sampling, when required Surface sampling, when required Temperature, humidity, and other environmental measurements Ventilation/airflow testing or assessment, when required Testing using properly maintained and calibrated equipment Laboratory analysis of collected samples, when applicable Identification and documentation of observed environmental conditions Written reports summarizing testing methods, findings, results, and recommendations Coordination of testing within an active healthcare environment

The final scope of work may differ from the above based on the results of market research.

INFORMATION REQUESTED Interested contractors should provide the following: Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, email address, UEI, and CAGE Code. Business size and socioeconomic status under the applicable NAICS code, including whether the company is an SBA-certified SDVOSB or VOSB. A brief description of the company's capability to perform indoor environmental and air quality testing services. Description of similar work performed, particularly within hospitals, healthcare facilities, laboratories, or other occupied facilities. Description of the testing and sampling capabilities available to the company. Information regarding qualifications, licenses, certifications, or professional credentials normally used by personnel performing this type of work. Typical timeframe required to mobilize, perform testing, and provide final reports. Any recommendations regarding the Government's anticipated requirement that may improve competition or performance.
