Description
The Government of Canada, through the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), is seeking proposals for the supply of a large clamshell observatory dome. The dome must open entirely for full sky tracking, be lightweight (less than 1,000 lbs), have a side door at least 28" x 68", and a clear usable height of at least 3.0 meters. The diameter should be between 3.6 m and 4 m to fit on the existing platform. It must be motorized and capable of computer interfacing for remote operation. The contract duration is estimated at 12 months, with all deliverables due by March 31, 2027.
