Combined Synopsis/Solicitation This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in RFO FAR 12.201-1, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are requested from competent vendors, as identified below. Request for Quotation (RFQ) N5523626Q0105 is issued as a sole source acquisition. This solicitation is being processed using the procedures of RFO FAR Part 12. The Government intends to solicit and contract with only one source, Timken Gears and Services, Inc., dba Philadelphia Gear (Timken), for the parts listed under the Product Description, under the authority of RFO FAR 6.103-1 and 12.102, on a sole source basis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond and submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. The Government's decision not to compete with this contract based on responses is solely within its discretion. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333613 – Mechanical Power Transmission Manufacturing. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2026-01 (Effective 02 July 2026) and DFARS Publication Notice 20260702. Description: Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) requires procurement and delivery of long lead time material (LLTM) for a Main Reduction Gear (MRG) Thrust Bearing Replacement. The evaluation factors are: Technical Acceptability – Ability to meet delivery date and salient characteristics of the Product Description Price – Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) Past Performance – Based on the Supplier Performance Risk System Price will be evaluated for reasonableness per FAR 12.203, 12.204, and 15.404. Past Performance will consider recency, relevancy, source, context, and trends, including the offeror’s ability to perform previous contracts successfully. DFARS 252.204-7024 is incorporated by reference. (b) Options will be evaluated by adding their total price to the basic requirement. The Government may find an offer unacceptable if options are unbalanced. Exercise of options is not guaranteed. (c) A contract will be formed upon issuance of a written notice of award or acceptance, which will be within the offer’s acceptance period.
