ARPA-H, part of the Department of Health and Human Services, is seeking industry capabilities for advanced Pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS) analysis of micro- and nanoplastics (MNPs) in biological samples. - Government Buyer: - Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) - Health Science Futures Office - Services Requested: - Gold-standard Py-GC/MS analysis of MNPs in blood, urine, and tissue - Method development and contamination control - Analysis must cover polymer types: PE, PP, PVC, PET, Ny-6, PS, PMMA, PU, SBR - Establishment of validated method within 9 months, followed by up to 60 months of service - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors named; respondents must detail instrumentation used - Unique Requirements: - Providers must demonstrate expertise in Py-GC/MS, method development, and contamination control - Must meet defined limits of detection and quantification for specified polymers - Respondents required to submit cost estimates and technical details - No product part numbers or purchase quantities specified - Opportunity is for specialized analytical services, not product procurement

Description

The intent of this Sources Sought notice is to gauge industry interest, capabilities, and relevant experience to support Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) Health Science Futures Office (HSF) by providing gold-standard Pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS) analysis of micro- and nanoplastics (MNPs) in biological samples, such as blood, urine and tissue.

Specifically, ARPA-H is looking for the capability to perform Py-GC/MS analysis of MNPs in biological samples.
