NIH's Office of Logistics and Operations is seeking to procure proprietary software modules from Keyence Corporation of America to enhance the analytical capabilities of its BZ-X1000 fluorescence microscope in the UDP Translational Laboratory. - Government Buyer: - National Institutes of Health (NIH) - Office of the Director (OD) - Office of Logistics and Operations (OLAO), Office of Acquisition and Logistics Management (OALM), Hospital and Laboratory Support Division - OEM Highlight: - Keyence Corporation of America (manufacturer of the requested software modules) - Vendors Mentioned: - Keyence Corporation of America - Products Requested: - Hybrid Cell Count software module (for advanced single-cell detection) - Macro Cell Count software module (for automated whole-tissue quantification) - 3D Analysis software module (for three-dimensional cellular structure reconstruction) - All modules are for the Keyence BZ-X1000 fluorescence microscope - Notable Requirements: - Modules must be compatible with the existing Keyence BZ-X1000 microscope - Procurement is non-competitive and limited to Keyence proprietary solutions - Supports clinical research and variant interpretation in the UDP Translational Laboratory - Estimated Contract Value: - Not to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold ($350,000)

Description

Title: Keyence Microscope Software Modules

Background Information: The UDP Translational Laboratory conducts functional studies to investigate genetic variants identified in participants of the NIH Undiagnosed Diseases Program. The laboratory relies heavily on high‑resolution fluorescence microscopy to characterize patient‑specific cellular phenotypes that support clinical research and variant interpretation. The current BZ‑X1000 Keyence fluorescence microscope requires additional software to perform advanced analytical capabilities required for these studies. The purpose of this procurement is to acquire the Hybrid Cell Count, Macro Cell Count, and 3D Analysis Keyence software modules to extend the analytical capacity of the existing BZ‑X1000 microscope system. These modules will enable: • Accurate single‑cell detection. • Automated whole‑tissue quantification • Three‑dimensional reconstruction of cellular structure
