Description

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is proposing to install a new pedestrian pathway for non-motorized traffic between Naknek and King Salmon in the Southcoast Region of Alaska. The project includes adding recessed pavement markers, new signage and striping, drainage improvements, and topsoil seeding, as well as installing continuous pedestrian paths in specified areas near the King Salmon Airport. Construction is projected to begin in April 2028. A public meeting will be held to discuss the project and gather comments, and the project will undergo an environmental review process as required by NEPA.
