Description

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW) is proposing a noncompetitive land sale of approximately 220 acres located about seven miles southwest of Ester in the Fairbanks North Star Borough. The land will be conveyed to the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) for public and charitable use to support affordable housing development. The proposal includes an amendment to the Eastern Tanana Area Plan and a land classification order to designate the land as Settlement Land. Public comments are invited through September 21, 2026, and the sale is subject to existing authorizations, third-party interests, and borough zoning.
