Sole Source Upgrade and Integration of Nurse Call, Surveillance, and Intercom Systems at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center

This opportunity is for a sole source contract at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA, to upgrade and integrate critical patient safety and communication systems. - Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 16, intends to award to Lone Star Communications, Inc. - Scope includes: - Upgrading Rauland Responder 5 nurse call system, including panic buttons and new Code Purple stations - Replacing inpatient mental health unit's video surveillance system with new cameras, recording server (WAVE WRTP5204W36TB), PoE+ switches, and monitoring stations - Installing a new entry video intercom system integrated with the Rauland nurse call system - All systems must comply with VA mental health safety and technical standards - Full installation, integration, programming, testing, and staff training are required - Work must be scheduled to avoid disruption to clinical care - Rauland is the OEM for the nurse call system; WAVE is specified for the recording server - Estimated award date is September 21, 2026; work to start within 90 days after award
