NIST is seeking maintenance and calibration services for its gas detection system at the Gaithersburg Campus, specifically in building 302 Boiler and Chiller Plant. - Government Buyer: - Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Acquisition Management Division - OEMs and Vendors: - Honeywell (manufacturer of gas sensors and transmitters) - Manning (manufacturer of AirScan IR-F9 refrigerant sensors) - Products/Services Requested: - Semi-annual servicing and calibration of: - 3 Carbon Monoxide (CO) sensors - 4 Combustible Gas (Natural Gas) sensors - 3 Oxygen depletion sensors - 30 Refrigerant sensors and transmitters (including Manning AirScan IR-F9) - 2 Gas Control (Monitoring) panels (including ViewSmart 6400 controller) - Corrective maintenance for repair and replacement of failed sensors, transmitters, and related devices - Contractor must provide qualified OEM technicians - All labor, materials, certified calibration gas bottles, transportation, insurance, and equipment (including a 30-foot manlift) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict safety, security, and reporting requirements - Maintenance must be performed by qualified OEM technicians - Contract includes a base year, four one-year options, and a 6-month extension - Semi-annual service schedule - Corrective maintenance funded through separate CLINs - Attachments provide detailed specifications, drawings, and manuals for the sensors and transmitters

Description

The purpose of this requirement is to provide Gas Detection System Maintenance at the NIST Gaithersburg Campus located in Gaithersburg, MD.  Please review the Solicitation attachment for details.

The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies (including certified calibration gas bottles), transportation, insurance and equipment (including a 30-foot manlift) to service and calibrate the NIST building 302 three (3) Carbon Monoxide (CO), four (4) Natural Gas (Combustible), three (3) Oxygen depletion, and thirty (30) 134a Refrigerant sensors and transmitters, and service two (2) Gas Control (Monitoring) panels.
