Description
The South Island Natural Resource District is seeking a proponent to write a fuel management prescription for Hornby Island MOTT lands (20.8 Ha) and WUI area (104.2 Ha) along forest trails. The prescription must meet standards and guidance provided on the Tools for Fuel Management, aiming for a two-tier approach with intensive treatment near values and extensive treatment along trails and road corridors. This project continues from a previous project around the community centre (2024-2025) and involves areas with dry Coastal Douglas-fir and wetter conditions near southern drainages.
