Description

Metro seeks to develop an Interpretive Framework to guide the future memorialization, representation, and interpretation of multiple histories connected to the Portland Expo Center site, including the histories of the Urban Indigenous, Japanese American, and Vanport communities. The framework should identify shared themes that connect these histories while ensuring each community's story can be represented authentically without diluting or subordinating any individual history to a broader narrative. A voluntary pre-proposal conference will be held via Zoom on August 26 at 11:00 a.m. Interested proposers and subcontractors are encouraged to attend to gain information about the RFP requirements. Metro offers free proposal writing coaching for interested small businesses, which must express interest by September 14, 2026.
