Description
The International Institute of Tropical Forestry (IITF) is seeking technical support and guidance through logistics and strategic planning services, in support of the State, Private, and Tribal Forestry Unit, Services are intended to build, develop, and improve the unit’s strategic direction and delivery using objective criteria. This includes development of the unit strategic plan and the implementation of the agency’s priorities in collaboration and coordination with State, Private, and Tribal Forestry Team and stakeholders. The work will include conducting research and analysis on the current situation in reference to the programs strategic plans and frameworks; developing and communicating goals and objectives; leading engagement to gather input; designing and implementing frameworks and tools for strategic planning; evaluating alternative strategies and scenarios; preparing reports on the plan; monitoring its implementation and impact; and providing advice on strategic issues. The product of strategic planning is a plan document that at its completion will be shared, adopted, and followed by SPTF Team members, collaborators, and stakeholders. It will also reflect changes in regulatory conditions. The plan should include but is not limited to; general programs’ framework and priorities in consonance with current national and local guidelines, unit organigram and communication flowcharts, tangible and measurable action items with implementation schedules, and implementation metrics and guidelines to be conducted regularly in order to assess plan suitability and effectiveness.
