The City of Foster City is seeking qualified firms to provide comprehensive janitorial services for its Community Center (38,748 sq ft). - Government Buyer: - City of Foster City, Parks and Recreation Department, Building Maintenance Division - Scope of Services: - Routine janitorial cleaning for restrooms, offices, lobbies, meeting rooms, fitness rooms, ceramics studio, cafe, early education room, commercial kitchen, outdoor patios, elevators, and stairs - Day porter/building services during operating hours, events, weekends, and holidays - Additional janitorial labor, supervision, emergency response, after-hours call-outs - Event support: pre-event, during event, post-event cleaning, large event support, commercial kitchen cleaning - Specialty cleaning: carpet extraction, spot cleaning, hard floor restoration, high dusting, pressure washing, interior/exterior window cleaning - Holiday premium rates and emergency response - Requirements: - Contractor must supply labor, equipment, tools, PPE, transportation, insurance, and overhead - City provides cleaning supplies - Mandatory walk-through for proposers - Compliance with City’s insurance and contract requirements - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; opportunity is open to all qualified janitorial service providers - Contract Term: - Initial two-year term, with up to 36 months of extensions in increments of 2 to 12 months - Services expected to begin promptly after award - Pricing: - Monthly and annual pricing for service categories; premium rates for holidays and emergency response

The City of Foster City is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive janitorial services for the Foster City Community Center. The contract term is from October 5, 2026, to October 4, 2028, with possible extensions up to 36 months. Proposals must be submitted electronically by 4:00 p.m. on September 15, 2026, and a mandatory walk-through is scheduled for September 1, 2026. The selected contractor will be required to comply with the City's Agreement for Janitorial Services, including insurance requirements.
