Description

The program aims to ensure the safe release of large whales and small cetaceans from commercial fishing gear or other entangling lines, mitigating risks to species listed under the Species at Risk Act (SARA) and reducing damage to commercial fishing gear. The contract duration is 12 months, starting April 1, 2027, with the program running until March 31, 2031.
