Okaloosa County, Florida is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive Water Treatment Services for multiple county facilities. - Government Buyer: - Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners (Facilities & Parks Department, Facility Maintenance Department, Purchasing Department) - Facilities covered include: - Crestview Courthouse, County Jail, Emergency Operations Center, Destin Ft. Walton Beach Airport (VPS), Administration Building, South Courthouse Annex, Water & Sewer Building, Destin Fort Walton Beach Convention Center - Services requested: - Complete waterside protection for chilled water and heating closed loops, evaporative cooling towers, boilers, and water softener maintenance - Monthly inspections, testing, and adjustment of chemical treatment programs - Emergency consultation (response within 24 hours for consultation, 48 hours for on-site support) - Monthly reporting and training of county personnel - Quarterly and annual service line items per facility - Unique and notable requirements: - Compliance with FDA and EPA guidelines for chemical use - Monthly Legionella testing and biological studies - Contractor must provide all labor, materials, and disposal fees - Detailed insurance requirements (workers compensation, general liability, automobile, professional, pollution/environmental liability) - Adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including nondiscrimination and public records laws - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Contract term is three years with two optional one-year renewals - Pricing is structured quarterly per facility

Description

The Board of County Commissioners of Okaloosa County, FL, is seeking a service provider for Water Treatment Services at multiple facilities within the county. The contractor will provide labor and materials for comprehensive waterside protection, including treatment of water used in chilled water and heating closed loops, as well as evaporative cooling tower/condenser systems. The scope includes maintaining water softeners, chemical treatment programs, emergency consultation availability, and regular inspections and testing of systems. The contract term is three years with options to renew for two additional one-year periods.
