Caltrans is seeking a contractor to provide Groundwater Pre-filter and Carbon Filtration Removal, Replacement, and Repair Services for the I-105 freeway in Los Angeles County. - Buyer: California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Division of Procurement and Contracts - Scope of work includes: - Replacement of 40 pre-filter bags (estimated 20 change-outs) - Removal and replacement of reactivated granular activated carbon (minimum 20,000 lbs per change-out; estimated 6 replacements) - Traffic control services (estimated 50 hours) - Additional repair work (estimated 200 hours) - Contractor must provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, vehicles, transportation, traffic control, licenses, permits, taxes, testing, disposal, and incidentals - Strict licensing requirements: valid Class A – General Engineering Contractor or C-55 Water Conditioning Contractor license; C-31 Construction Zone Traffic Control Contractor license for traffic control if applicable - Laboratories must have current ELAP Certification - Compliance with California prevailing wage laws and NPDES permit Order No. R4-2024-0145 for treated groundwater discharge - Small business participation encouraged; DVBE incentive offered (not mandatory) - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; open to qualified providers meeting requirements

Description

This solicitation is for providing Groundwater Pre-filter and Carbon Filtration Removal, Replacement and Repair Services to Caltrans in Los Angeles County. The contractor must furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, vehicles, transportation, traffic control, licenses, permits, taxes, testing, disposal, and incidentals required for the services. Bidders or subcontractors must hold a valid Class A General Engineering Contractor license or a C-55 Water Conditioning Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board. Additional licensing requirements apply for traffic control work and laboratory testing. The contractor and subcontractors must maintain valid registrations with the Department of Industrial Relations and possess a current Motor Carrier Permit from the California DMV.
