The Housing Authority of Salt Lake City (HASLC) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive year-round landscaping, grounds maintenance, irrigation support, snow removal, and ice-control services at fourteen properties in Salt Lake City. - Government Buyer: - Housing Authority of Salt Lake City (HASLC) - Procurement and Contracts Manager: Paul Edwards - Scope of Services: - Routine and seasonal landscaping: mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, fertilization, pruning, seasonal cleanup, core aeration, mulch refresh - Irrigation system operation, monitoring, startup, winterization, and repairs (with some services requiring prior authorization) - Snow removal and ice control: plowing, shoveling, clearing sidewalks and accessible routes, deicing, weather monitoring, automatic dispatch, emergency response, backup staffing and equipment - Service documentation, quality control, reporting, and property protection - Properties: - 14 properties in Salt Lake City - Pharos property included for summer weed-control only (excluded from winter services) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Automatic dispatch for snow/ice services based on weather triggers - Priority clearing of emergency access and pedestrian routes - Emergency and extraordinary services available by prior authorization - Some properties may be federally assisted with property-specific requirements - Fixed annual pricing for summer services; per-property, per-push, and ice-control rates for winter services; separate hourly rates for additional authorized work - Price adjustments for renewals capped at the lesser of 4% or the CPI-U change for the West Region - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the RFP is open to all qualified service providers.

Description

The Housing Authority of Salt Lake City and its affiliated entities are seeking one qualified contractor to provide year-round landscaping, grounds maintenance, irrigation support, snow removal, and ice-control services at fourteen properties in Salt Lake City. Services include routine and seasonal landscaping, irrigation monitoring and support, mowing, trimming, fertilization, pruning, snow plowing, shoveling, clearing sidewalks, ice control, weather monitoring, emergency response, and service documentation. The contract is for an initial one-year term with up to four optional one-year renewals based on performance and funding. Pharos, a vacant lot, is included for summer weed-control services only and excluded from winter snow and ice services.
