Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) is seeking a Consultant to complete a Creek and Watercourse Protection Assessment and Mapping study for four watercourses on IR #3: George Creek; Thomas Creek; Big John Creek; and an unnamed watercourse on the west side of IR #3. The assessment aims to establish scientifically defensible, regulation-aligned Streamside Protection and Enhancement Areas (SPEAs) in accordance with the British Columbia Riparian Areas Protection Regulation (RAPR, 2019). The study will also identify creek flood hazards and mitigation measures. The results will support the development of a Streamside Protection and Creek Hazard Development Permit Area Framework and Guidelines to be incorporated into the TWN Land Use Plan, protecting fish habitat and guiding environmental protection, land use planning, and sustainable development on IR #3.
