Description
1. ANNOUNCEMENT
The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), announces its intent to award a sole-source purchase order to Aqua-Chem Inc. for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified technical representative to troubleshoot and repair Aqua-Chem freshwater distillation and reverse osmosis system onboard CGC Legare. This action is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
2. PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE
This notice serves to inform industry of the government's intent to award this requirement on a sole-source basis and to conduct market research to identify other sources that may be capable of satisfying this requirement. This is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ), and the government does not intend to issue a contract based on responses to this notice alone.
3. REQUIREMENT DETAILS & ATTACHMENTS
The USCG requires OEM Reverse Osmosis Technical Representative as specified in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Interested parties must demonstrate the ability to provide technical services authorized by OEM.

Statement of Work (SOW): Details the technical requirements of the OEM requirement. Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition: Details the government's rationale for pursuing a sole-source award. Sole Proprietor Letter: Documentation from the OEM establishing their sole-source status.
