Description

This is a Sources Sought announcement for acquisition planning purposes and no formal solicitation for this requirement exists at this time. All businesses, regardless of size; capable of providing these services, are invited to respond to this announcement and submit a capability statement for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine a firm's previous experience performing similar work and used to determine an appropriate procurement strategy, in particular, whether a small business set-aside is warranted or an alternate procurement strategy. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or otherwise pay for information solicited. Proposed Project:The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Lower Colorado Basin, Hoover Dam, has a requirement to purchase eight (8) valve actuators to use for the bypass system. The valve actuator's specifications are as follows:-Electric on/off actuator that can be operated remotely-Actuator must be compatible with a 12-inch A-T Controls Power-Seal Hp 300# Lug Butterfly Valve-Actuator enclosure must be dust tight and waterproof to a depth of at least 40 feet-Actuator must be suited for a maximum torque load of 17500 in-lbs-Motor uses 480VAC/3PH (three phase AC power)-Control uses 110VAC/1PH (single phase AC power)-Ensure the valve is still able to be operated manually with a bare stem operator when the actuator is installed-The selected actuators must comply with the Buy American Act (BAA), including all components used in the actuator assembly.The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333995, Fluid Power Cylinder and Actuator Manufacturing with a corresponding small business size standard of 800 Employees.
