This opportunity seeks qualified vendors to provide repair and replacement services for walk-in cooler and freezer refrigeration systems at Maxwell Air Force Base, supporting the 42d Force Support Squadron. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Air Force, 42d Contracting Squadron, Maxwell AFB, Alabama - Air Education and Training Command - Scope of Work: - Removal and disposal of old refrigeration systems at multiple dining facilities and warehouse locations - Installation of new condensing units, evaporator coils, copper piping, insulation, electrical connections, and refrigerant charging - Replacement of leaking evaporator coils and failed refrigeration components - Coordination of lift/crane rentals for equipment installation - Recovery and disposal of legacy refrigerants (e.g., R-22), recharge with new refrigerants (e.g., R-407C) - Services Required: - Removal and disposal of equipment and debris (no government dumpsters provided) - Coordination and scheduling to minimize disruption to base operations and maintain minimum cold storage - Compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, UFC, and base-specific safety, environmental, and security standards - Permitting for hot work and adherence to work hour restrictions - Provision of manufacturer and workmanship warranties - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or brands are named; contractor must supply all equipment and materials - Unique Requirements: - Contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment - No government-furnished equipment - Strict compliance with safety and environmental regulations - 120-day completion period for all work - Products/Services Requested: - Multiple refrigeration system replacements and repairs across several walk-in coolers and freezers - Detailed line items for each facility and cooler/freezer system - Comprehensive removal, installation, and compliance services

Description

The 42d Contracting Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL, is seeking sources that can provide commercial appliance repair in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (Draft) in support of the 42d Force Support Squadron (42FSS) at Maxwell AFB, AL. All feedback and information received may be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy. NOTES OF IMPORTANCE: 1. A solicitation does not exist for this requirement. This is only a sources sought synopsis, so please do not submit quotations. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this sources sought. 2. If the Government decides to pursue a solicitation, portions of your responses to this sources sought may be incorporated into the final solicitation. Respondents are discouraged from submitting any information deemed competition-sensitive or proprietary. 3. Respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in responding to this sources sought. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. 4.
