Spalding County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified law firms or attorneys to provide Human Resources Attorney Services for the County. - Government Buyer: - Spalding County Board of Commissioners - Located in Griffin, Georgia - Services Requested: - Legal representation, advice, and counsel on employment law and discrimination matters - Coverage includes FLSA, ACA, FMLA, Title VII, OSHA, EPA, ADA - Review and drafting of personnel policies, contracts, ordinances - Representation in hearings and court cases involving adverse personnel actions - Unique Requirements: - Applicants must be licensed in Georgia and in good standing with the Georgia State Bar - Ability to provide written and verbal legal opinions - Availability for Board meetings and other county meetings - Capacity to respond on short notice - County may select multiple firms but prefers a single entity for general legal services - Contract Details: - Initial term of two years with an option for a one-year extension

Description

Spalding County Board of Commissioners is seeking a qualified law firm or attorney to provide legal services related to employment law and discrimination matters. The services include advising on Fair Labor Standards Act, Affordable Care Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, OSHA, Equal Pay Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and related employment issues. The attorney will represent the County in legal matters, prepare legal opinions, review personnel policies, and appear before courts and administrative agencies. Responses are due by September 15, 2026, and must be submitted sealed to the County Manager.
