The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announces the deletion of six sites and the partial deletion of two sites from the Superfund National Priorities List (NPL). The NPL is part of the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan and sites may be deleted when no further response is necessary, indicating all appropriate response actions under CERCLA have been completed.
