Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission have issued countervailing duty orders on silicon metal imported from Australia and Norway. These orders are based on affirmative final determinations that subsidized imports of silicon metal from these countries materially injure the U.S. industry. The orders require suspension of liquidation and assessment of countervailing duties on unliquidated entries of silicon metal from these countries entered on or after September 26, 2025. The scope covers all forms and sizes of silicon metal containing at least 85.00 percent but less than 99.99 percent silicon by weight, excluding semiconductor grade silicon.
