The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is requesting public comments on the proposal to extend the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) approval of the information collection requirements specified in the Cadmium in General Industry Standard (29 CFR 1910.1027). The purpose of these requirements is to protect workers from health effects associated with occupational exposure to cadmium, which can cause serious diseases including lung and prostate cancer.
