VDOT is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide various types of heavy equipment with experienced/skilled and licensed operators to perform roadway clearing operations on an as needed basis. The work supports emergency operations and severe/inclement weather events such as snow and ice, hurricanes, by removing debris, downed/fallen/displaced vegetation, snow and ice that impede traffic flow or interfere with safe and efficient VDOT operations or public safety.
