Description

The Town of Amherst is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to remove the existing emergency backup generator system at the Amherst Fire Station and supply, install, and fully commission a new automatic standby generator system. The new system must support the entire fire station during utility power interruptions and provide reliable, automatic, and code-compliant emergency power protection. The existing generator has been in service since the 1970s and is at the end of its useful life. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for September 3, 2026, at the Amherst Fire Hall.
