Description

The Town of Marion is seeking competitive proposals to lease a portion of town-owned real property, specifically the capped landfill on Assessors Map 24, Parcel 9, for the construction, operation, maintenance, and eventual removal of a third-party-owned ground-mounted solar photovoltaic facility. The lease term is 20 years from the date of commercial operation, not to exceed 30 years from agreement execution. Responsibilities include design, engineering, permitting, development, financing, installation, interconnection, operation, maintenance, repair, and removal of the solar facility at no expense to the Town. Proposals are due by October 1, 2026, and will be evaluated based on the most advantageous proposal according to the RFP criteria.
