The City of Cedar Rapids Facilities Maintenance Services Division is seeking bids for a comprehensive interior lighting upgrade at the Downtown Cedar Rapids Public Library. - Government Buyer: - City of Cedar Rapids, Facilities Maintenance Services Division, Purchasing Services - OEMs and Vendors: - EPS (manufacturer of 2.0 linear surface-mount fixtures) - Scott Architectural Lighting (manufacturer of S2666-L72-40K-PT-OA 36 D fixtures) - Focal Point (manufacturer of specified lenses; no substitutions allowed) - Products/Services Requested: - 152 EPS 2.0 linear surface-mount fixtures (silver) or equivalent - 10 Scott Architectural Lighting S2666-L72-40K-PT-OA 36 D fixtures or equivalent - 350 new lamp holders - 175 new LED lamps - 44 Focal Point 8-type lenses (no substitutions) - 23 Focal Point 4-type lenses (no substitutions) - 67 fixture rewires for compatibility - Removal and disposal of existing donut light fixtures, mud-in fixtures, T8 lamps, lamp holders, and lenses - Installation, energizing, and testing of all new lighting fixtures and components - Unique/Notable Requirements: - No substitutions allowed for Focal Point lenses - Contractors must use existing circuitry and controls unless otherwise required - Compliance with safety standards and proper waste disposal - Mandatory insurance, payment and performance bonds, and adherence to local preference program - Pre-bid meeting required - Firm fixed price; no price escalation during initial term - Bonds required for contract duration and two years after acceptance
