Description
The King County Library System (KCLS) is requesting submissions of qualifications for the development of an Artists Roster to reflect the diverse cultures and communities served by its 49+ library facilities. The roster will be used to acquire existing 3D and 2D artworks, as well as site-specific commissions, with a preference for artists with prior projects or exhibitions in the Northwest. Eligible materials include painting, photography, fiber arts, glass, ceramics, metal, mixed media, murals, outdoor sculpture, and artwork integrated into architecture. Digital, tech-based, and water-based artworks are generally not preferred except in unique cases. Inclusion on the roster does not guarantee artwork acquisition, and artists will be evaluated based on qualifications, experience, and alignment with KCLS's mission and design themes.
