The University of Maine System is seeking qualified vendors to provide on-call and as-needed interior facility services across its campuses. - Government Buyer: - University of Maine System, Office of Strategic Procurement - Scope of Services: - Multiple trades including carpentry, electrical (residential and commercial), plumbing, painting, flooring installation (carpet, linoleum, VCT), door installation and repair, window treatments fabrication and installation, fire alarm installation/programming/repair, locksmith services, safe installation, security solutions, pipe bursting, custodial equipment maintenance and repair, and sheet metal fabrication - Trade-Specific Requirements: - Electrical: Maine Master Electrician license required; work up to 600 volts - Plumbing: Maine Master Plumber license required; specialty piping - Painting: RRP certification and OSHA lead compliance required - Fire Alarm: IMSA Niesart and NRPA certifications; experience with multiple system brands - Custodial Equipment: Certification required for warranty work - Sheet Metal: Preferred State of Maine certification - Contract Structure: - Each trade awarded individually; multiple awards per trade possible - Five-year initial term with option for five-year renewal - Notable Requirements: - Contractors must provide technical personnel, tools, and disposal services - University supplies materials for flooring installations - Custom fabrication and installation for window treatments - Services must comply with fire and life safety codes - No specific OEMs or brands are named; vendors must demonstrate relevant trade experience and licensing - All campuses within the University of Maine System are eligible to use the resulting contracts - Encouragement of participation from diverse and disadvantaged business enterprises

Description

The University of Maine System is soliciting proposals for on-call/as-needed interior facility services to support its Department of Facilities Management. The services include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpet and tile installation, door installation and repair, window treatments, fire alarm services, locksmith, safe installation, security solutions, pipe bursting, custodial equipment repair, and sheet metal services. The contract term is five years with an option to renew for an additional five years. Each trade will be awarded individually, and the University encourages participation from diverse business enterprises.
