Description
New Mexico Health Care Authority (HCA) is requesting proposals from Regional Emergency Feeding Organizations (REFOs) to provide regional administration to receive, store, and deliver United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) commodity foods to local emergency feeding organizations for distribution to eligible households and homeless shelters throughout New Mexico. The program must comply with all state and federal regulations per 7 CFR 247, 250, and 251. State funds are also available to REFOs to purchase, package, and ship fresh produce and other food items to be distributed to low-income New Mexicans. These fresh produce and food items support healthy options at food distribution sites across all 33 counties in New Mexico.
