Description

This solicitation is for multiyear grants or contracts to provide adult education and literacy services under the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA), Title II of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The goal is to help out-of-school youth and adults develop literacy skills, achieve secondary credentials, and gain employment and self-sufficiency. The project includes four competition types: Adult Basic Education and Literacy Services, Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education (IELCE), Corrections Education and Other Institutionalized Education Programs, and Literacy Zones. Eligible applicants include local educational agencies, community-based organizations, higher education institutions, nonprofits, libraries, public housing authorities, and coalitions of these entities. The contract term is from July 1, 2027, to June 30, 2032.
