Description

The City of Calgary is soliciting proposals for the North Calgary Water Servicing (NCWS) Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) Project, which aims to recover excess hydraulic energy within the NCWS transmission system and convert it into renewable electrical power. The ERF will be integrated with the proposed NCWS Pressure Reducing Valve Station to generate electricity while maintaining water network operations. The scope includes hydraulic modeling, turbine technology evaluation, facility layout, mechanical and electrical design, control and SCADA integration, utility interconnection, construction support, commissioning, and operational handover. The project will be executed in phased stages to support progressive development and implementation.
