Argonne National Laboratory, part of the U.S. Department of Energy, is soliciting quotations for a state-of-the-art Optical Cryogenic Quantum System for its Center for Nanoscale Materials. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Center for Nanoscale Materials at Argonne National Laboratory - Products Requested: - Optical Cryogenic Quantum System (1 unit) - Includes cryogen-free dilution refrigerator, THz source, optical and THz access, and a 6-1-1 T vector magnet - Capable of operation at temperatures below 10mK with multiple temperature stages - All equipment, subsystems, controls, software, accessories, factory acceptance testing, packing, and delivery - Services Requested: - Engineering, manufacturing, assembly, factory acceptance testing, delivery, installation, commissioning, site acceptance testing, documentation, and training - Unique/Notable Requirements: - System must meet advanced quantum and condensed matter research specifications - Compliance with Statement of Work and Acceptance Test Requirements - Firm pricing required - Documentation of country of origin, lead time, and signed representations/certifications - Compliance with Buy American provisions - Lead time for delivery is 11 months after order confirmation - Factory acceptance testing prior to shipment and site acceptance testing after installation - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Technical compliance and evidence of meeting all SOW criteria are mandatory for offerors.

EVALUATION IS BASED ON LOWEST PRICE, TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE CRITERIA

Argonne National Laboratory is seeking quotations for a complete Optical Cryogenic Quantum System, including delivery, and separate installation, commissioning, and site acceptance services, for the Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM) at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL).

Please review the applicable Statement of Work (SOW) for all required technical capabilities and performance requirements. Offerors shall provide documentation and evidence demonstrating the offer’s compliance with the SOW requirements no later than 5:00 PM CDT on  August 26, 2026.

We will need a response addressing the following documentation and considerations:

Completed and signed ANL-70 Request for Quotation Technical compliance documentation demonstrating how the proposed system meets the requirements of the Statement of Work Country of Origin* Lead time from purchase order to final delivery to Argonne, FOB Destination, Lemont, IL 60439 (DAP Lemont, IL if shipping from a foreign location) Completed and signed ANL-70B Representations and Certifications
