FCI Danbury, part of the Federal Bureau of Prisons under the Department of Justice, is seeking bids for a broad range of subsistence items for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. - Government Buyer: - Federal Bureau of Prisons, FCI Danbury (Danbury, Connecticut) - Products Requested: - Wide variety of food products including dry and canned beans, rice, pasta, corn meal, dairy, meats (beef, chicken, fish, pork, turkey), cheeses, vegetables (fresh, frozen, canned), fruits, spices, sauces, beverages, bread, eggs, and disposable food service items - Notable quantities: - 7,500 lbs ground beef - 50,000 individual peanut butter packets - 15,000 lbs chicken leg quarters - 110,000 jelly packets - 25,000 tortillas - 10,000 lbs rice - 3,000 lbs cheddar cheese - 15,400 half-pint milk containers - 750 dozen eggs - 5,000 potato chip packets - 80 containers of Oasis 146 sanitizer - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All items must comply with federal food safety and labeling regulations, including allergen labeling and National Menu Specifications - Delivery must occur Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, excluding federal holidays, with pre-arranged schedules - Strict temperature and packaging requirements for perishable, frozen, and canned goods - Fresh bread must be delivered within 48 hours after baking; eggs delivered weekly - Disposable food service items and sanitation supplies also required - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or brands are named; generic food and supply categories only - SBA set-aside; awards based on past performance
