The Military Sealift Command (MSC) Norfolk, Strategic Sealift Program Support Office, is seeking information from industry regarding the charter of a U.S. flagged Medium Range (MR) tanker for extended term service. - Government Buyer: - Military Sealift Command (MSC), Strategic Sealift Program Support Office, MSC Norfolk - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Products/Services Requested: - Time charter of one clean, approved U.S. flagged double hull MR tanker - Must have segregated ballast tanks (SBT) - Must be capable of carrying a minimum of 310 barrels of JP8, JP5, JA1, or F76 fuels - Vessel must provide natural segregation in designated cargo tanks with double valve isolation - Maximum vessel age: 20 years - Maximum length overall (LOA): 190 meters - Maximum beam: 32.31 meters - Maximum deadweight tonnage (DWT): 50,000 MT - Minimum 3 segregations with double valve isolation - 10-ton boom lift capacity - Minimum speed: 13 knots - Ability to serve as afloat storage tanker - Capability to conduct simultaneous consolidations at two stations underway - Capability for fuel delivery station - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Vessel must be U.S. flagged and clean approved - Charter period includes a base year and an option year - Vessel must be able to serve as afloat storage and conduct underway replenishment

MSC REQUESTS INFORMATION ABOUT THE PRICE AND AVAILABILITY OF A CLEAN APPROVED U.S. FLAGGED DOUBLE HULL MEDIUM RANGE (MR) TANKER WITH SEGREGATED BALLAST TANKS (SBT) THAT ARE CAPABLE OF CARRYING A MINIMUM OF 310 BBLS OF JP8, JP5, JA1, OR F76 WITHIN VESSEL’S NATURAL SEGREGATION IN DESIGNATED CARGO TANKS WITH DOUBLE VALVE ISOLATION.
THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS FOR AN OPTION EVALUATION AND WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE WHETHER TO EXERCISE AN OPTION ON AN EXISTING CHARTER CONTRACT.
