Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Detroit District is seeking a contractor for a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) environmental services contract for the Tar Lake Superfund project located in Mancelona Township, Michigan. The project includes the excavation of contaminated soil and expansion of a bio-sparge system at the Tar Lake Superfund Site in Mancelona Township, Ml. The project will involve excavation of approximately 172,500 tons of contaminated soil, backfilling with clean imported soils, installing new biosparge wells, and an approximately 160 square foot pre-engineered structure to house the biosparge system compressors. Ancillary activities include abandoning existing groundwater monitoring wells, installing new groundwater monitoring wells, installing erosion control measures, conducting a utility survey to locate existing bio-sparge system piping, confirmation soil sampling,and site restoration.
