This opportunity is for the Department of Defense, Department of the Air Force, 375 Logistics Readiness Squadron at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. - The requirement is for the purchase and installation of commercial industrial manual automotive wash rack systems for two buildings (570 and 548). - Three systems for Building 548 - One system for Building 570 - Equipment specifications include: - Stainless steel enclosures - 9 HP 3-phase motors with Variable Frequency Drives - Multiple cleaning stations (tire cleaner, engine cleaner, soap, wax, rinse) - Overhead booms, foam brush assemblies, vacuum systems - Space heaters rated for winter operations - Control boxes with rotary selector switches - Services required: - Removal of existing automatic and manual bay car wash systems - Removal and replacement of piping as necessary - Installation of new wash rack equipment - Compliance with safety, environmental, and security protocols - One 4-hour train-the-trainer session for Ground Transportation personnel - Provision of training materials and manuals - One-year maintenance and hardware warranty, including corrective maintenance with 3-day response and maintenance record keeping - Unique requirements: - Equipment must be winter-rated and comply with all applicable codes - Contractor must provide training and maintain records - Warranty includes both hardware and maintenance support - No specific OEMs or part numbers are mentioned; vendors must verify technical requirements and offer post-installation support.

Description

This is a Sources Sought Synopsis issued for conducting market research. This is NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), or an Invitation for Bid (IFB). No solicitation is being issued at this time, and this notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach.

The purpose of this notice is to identify potential qualified sources capable of providing and installing wash rack bays in two buildings on base, to include vacuum systems. 

1. Description of Requirement:  Purchase and installation of wash rack equipment. This equipment will be utilized to maintain the base vehicle fleet. The Contractor shall furnish all design, labor, equipment, material, transportation, administration, supervision, and all else necessary to remove all existing automatic and manual bay car wash systems, as well as replace and install three new commercial industrial vehicle manual automotive cleaning systems in existing bays of Buildings 570 & 548 (2-systems) on Scott Air Force Base. The services rendered will include the removal of any damaged lines, rubber, and metal associated with previously installed wash rack, installation of new equipment, basic operation/maintenance training to Ground Transportation personnel, and a 1-year maintenance and hardware warranty.  The Contractor is responsible for verifying all technical aspects of the needed equipment.

2. Vendor Capability Questionnaire Interested parties must submit a brief capability statement addressing the following specific requirements.

a. Technical Execution: Describe your company's experience and capability to procure and install all equipment required for wash rack bays, to include vacuum systems. 

b. Warranty & Technical Support:  If awarded this contract, what standard manufacturer warranty do you provide for the equipment, and what are your capabilities for providing training post-installation?
