Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is issuing a notice to rescind its previous Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Bishopville Truck Route project in Lee County, South Carolina. The original NOI was published in 2017, and the Draft Environmental Impact Statement was approved in 2022. Due to regional funding constraints and requests from the South Carolina Department of Transportation and the Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Governments, the project will not proceed as initially planned. This notice formally announces the discontinuation of the EIS process for this truck route proposal.
