Description
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) intends to request approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to update the geospatial "Intermodal Freight Facilities Air-to-Truck" dataset for the National Transportation Atlas Database (NTAD). This data collection will involve contacting airport industry experts at 113 major U.S. airports, which handled about 98 percent of U.S. air freight in 2024, to verify the location and characteristics of intermodal and mail transfer facilities within airport boundaries. The updated data will be published on the NTAD website. Comments on this information collection must be submitted by October 19, 2026.
