Description
This notice announces that the Information Collection Requirements (ICRs) for the National Transit Database (NTD) have been forwarded to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and comment. The NTD collects financial, operating, geographic service area coverage, and asset condition information from public transportation systems nationwide to support public transportation service planning. The collection includes proposed changes finalized in July 2025, such as consolidation of station and facility reporting, security reporting clarification, trip planning and geospatial data, and ensuring a state of good repair. Comments on the information collection must be submitted by September 21, 2026.
