Description
The Food and Agriculture Defense Initiative Extension Disaster Education Network (FADI-EDEN) program aims to support the Cooperative Extension Systems (CES) in enhancing the resilience of the U.S. food and agriculture sector against biosecurity risks, weather events, disasters, cyber threats, and other shocks. The program provides coordination support and administrative leadership to EDEN, a national network of CES professionals dedicated to all-hazards management of domestic disasters. The program funds one Extension Project to promote innovation and integration of extension activities and applied disaster research, manage subawards and contracts, and administer the EDEN website. The total funding available for FY 2026 is approximately $382,400 with expected continuation in subsequent years based on performance and appropriations.
