Description
The Trauma Care Readiness and Coordination Program is a cooperative agreement designed to strengthen trauma system resilience by supporting the design, implementation, and evaluation of innovative, replicable, and scalable trauma system models. The program aims to improve coordination across EMS, pre-hospital providers, and hospitals to enhance trauma system readiness and patient access to appropriate care. It addresses inconsistent access to trauma care in the U.S., where many Americans live in regions with incomplete trauma care or far from trauma centers. The program supports scalable models to improve EMS and trauma care, increase situational awareness, and improve patient outcomes.
