Description

The solicitation is for a contractor to perform City-authorized vegetation management, fuel reduction, hazardous-tree removal, debris processing, erosion control, and revegetation within mapped work areas in the Berkeley Hills High and Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones on private property adjacent to private dwellings. The work includes removal of 26 trees of varying diameter in a specified drainage area bordered by Buena Vista Way, W. Parnassus Ct, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. The contractor must comply with Exhibit A and applicable laws, and work is limited to defensible-space establishment or enhancement within 200 feet of legal structures unless otherwise authorized. Each site requires a written Task Order specifying location, treatment limits, quantities, and environmental requirements. The contractor must report differing site conditions and protect the site pending written direction.
