Description
The BSL-3 Enhanced High Containment Building and Waste Sterilization Building located at the National Center for Applied Plant Protection (NCAPP) in Beltsville, Maryland is utilized for the testing and containment of Ag Select Agents and high consequence plant pathogens. There are Fifty-three (53) in-place HEPA filters located in forty-four (44) pieces of equipment these HEPA filters contribute to the containment of the plant pathogens; the HEPA filters require annual testing and certification. See attachment one (1) to this Scope of Work (SOW) .
The Base Period in-Place HEPA filter integrity testing/certification shall be conducted during the month of performance under this contract and then within a year thereafter for each of the four option periods. All work schedules will need to be reviewed and approved by the Government for access to the facility when Ag Select Agent plant material is not being tested.
